David Packer DC, FSBT

Dr. David Packer founded Precision Spinal Care in 2002 with a clear focus: find the source of a patient’s pain and direct them toward the right form of treatment. As the only fellowship-trained and NUCCA board-certified chiropractor in Southeastern Virginia, Dr. Packer provides advanced evaluation and care for patients dealing with neck pain, back pain, headaches, and injuries from car accidents or other trauma.

Through his Fellowship in Spinal Biomechanics and Trauma, Dr. Packer received interdisciplinary training across orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, MRI technology, pain management, emergency medicine, and primary care. This training informs how he evaluates patients and coordinates care with medical specialists when needed.

NUCCA is a highly specialized form a chiropractic care focused on the upper cervical spine. NUCCA treatment involves no cracking, twisting, or popping. NUCCA adjustments are based on precision X-ray analysis and mathematical measurements, making the procedure gentle enough for patients recovering from car accidents, sports injuries, chronic pain, or other spine-related issues.

As the only chiropractor in Chesapeake area with full NUCCA board certification, Dr. Packer brings a level of diagnostic specificity and treatment precision that’s rooted in advanced training and research. With over 10,000 possible combinations of how the head and neck can become misaligned, every NUCCA correction is calculated for the individual patient.

Dr. Packer served as an Adjunct Professor of Chiropractic Sciences at Life University from 2014 to 2020 and continues to serve as a credentialed instructor for NUCCA, training other NUCCA doctors and students nationally. He is a U.S. Navy veteran who served more than 15 years a Hospital Corpsman and Field Medic with the Marine Corps, and he remains active in veteran outreach programs throughout Hampton Roads.
